Tuesday for solo piano was one of the first works I completed in my studies at Wichita State University. It is influenced by minimalist works as well as the compositional methods unique to the style.

The piece starts with a three-note motive, which is rhythmically displaced. This creates a three-bar phrase. It uses open harmonies until right before the highest point of the music. After the climax, the same three-note motive from before is played again. The original motive alone is the last thing to be played, slowly fading away.
